‘Blodeuo’ in Natural Yellow Ochre
‘Blodeuo’ in Natural Yellow Ochre
‘Blodeuo' (meaning ‘bloom’ in Welsh) had originally developed into a design stemmed from a series of spontaneous, loose and expressive drawings.
The design is also an interpretation of documenting the growth of 'the flower' (tulips and lilies in particular), studying the patterns and shape of the petals from the early stages of bloom, to the latter stages of withering. It signifies the beauty of the imperfect and is an emblem of growth; a continuous journey throughout life which also resonates to my personal journey of becoming an independent artist in the rurality of North Wales on the Llŷn Peninsula.

About the Designer
Hannah Baxendale exists solely as a designer and maker, with a deep curiosity about a multitude of materials. Her style continuously experiments with pleasant texture and form which aims to promote feelings of 'good unexpectedness'. Hannah's charming objects desire to challenge mundane design principles and transform regular objects into functional sculptures. Sculptures which possess both useable and emotional qualities.
